Another year, another potential All-Star selection for ‘The King’.

Now in his 18th season, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James leads the list of active players with most NBA All-Star selections.

James, 36, is on the verge of being selected as an All-Star for the 17th time in his illustrious career.

He currently sits at the No. 3 spot for most All-Star selections in league history with 16, only behind legends Kobe Bryant (18) and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (19).

The three-time All-Star Game MVP James also holds the record for most points scored in the history of the All-Star Game with 385 points.

This season, James continues to show no signs of slowing down as he is averaging 25.5 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7.9 assists for the Lakers as of Thursday, February 11, Manila time, making a strong case for another selection in the annual All-Star Game.

In the second round of fan-voting returns released on Friday, February 12, James gathered 4,369,533 votes to lead all frontcourt players in the loaded Western Conference.

Next to James, Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets, Carmelo Anthony of the Portland Trail Blazers, and Chris Paul of the Phoenix Suns are all tied with 10 All-Star Game selections.

Durant, who missed last year’s All-Star Game due to an Achilles injury, is having a stellar comeback season for the powerhouse Nets, averaging 29.5 points, 7.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists as of February 11.

Along with James, the two-time All-Star Game MVP Durant leads the league in fan voting thus far with 4,234,433 votes.

Anthony and Paul, meanwhile, received 346,812 and 278,128 fan votes respectively.

To vote for your NBA All-Stars, fans may submit one full ballot per day via the NBA App, which is available on Android and iOS, and the NBA.com voting page at vote.nba.com/en.

Fans may also vote for up to 10 unique players per day on Twitter by simply tweeting the hashtag of an NBA player’s first and last name (#FirstNameLastName) or Twitter handle, along with the hashtag #NBAAllStar. All current NBA players will be available for selection.
