(SPOT.ph) Traveling outside the country is one of life's greatest pleasures, and there's nothing quite like soaking up other cultures and enjoying the incredible sights abroad. But before all that, one must apply for or renew their passport in a process that has become infamous for its difficulty. Fortunately, the travel gods have listened to our prayers as the Department of Foreign Affairs announced that they're opening up 100,000 passpoint appointment slots today, June 17. The slots are available to the public online at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) website.

Half of these slots (or 50,000) were opened to the public earlier at 12:12 p.m. In case you missed it, more slots will be made available at 9 p.m. at the DFA website's appointment page. So better hold on to your laptops tonight: Here's hoping you can finally get that passport renewal appointment (and that the DFA website won't crash). Good luck!
