(SPOT.ph) There are few things more frustrating than getting to the train station and realizing you just missed the last train. Commuters who ride the LRT-2 can probably relate to this situation, as the transit line's last trip from Santolan station leaves by 9:30 p.m. Thankfully, there are a few developments for those who would opt to ride the train later than that, as the Light Rail Transit Authority announced extended operating hours for the LRT-2 starting June 28.

Effective immediately, the last train from Santolan station will leave at 10 p.m., while the last train for Recto station will leave at 10:30 p.m.—a full 30 minutes from the previous closing times of 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m., respectively, for weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Additionally, the LRT-2 will start train operations at 4:30 a.m., 30 minutes earlier than the previous opening time of 5 a.m. After all, there's no such thing as leaving too early when it comes to avoiding the Metro's traffic, right?
