(SPOT.ph) It may already be the middle of June, but it's not too late to celebrate Pride Month! Get a chance to watch Filipino films that feature love in all its forms at this year's CineMakulay 2018: Pista ng Maiikling Dokyu at Pelikula Tungkol sa Uri, Kasarian, Katarungan, at Kapayapaan. The LGBT film screening will be held at the Cinémathèque Centre Manila on June 17. The best part? Admission is free!
An effort by the socio-political organization Bahaghari in cooperation with the Film Development Council and the UP Diliman Gender Office, CineMakulay is now on its second year. The free film screening continues to showcase short films and documentaries that feature LGBT individuals and highlight issues unique to the LGBT community. This year’s selection includes Cha Roque's acclaimed documentary Slay, which was chosen as an official selection for the Hanoi International Queer Film Festival 2017.
