(SPOT.ph) Missed your shot at scoring free rides on the MRT for Independence Day? Well, here's another chance to do your daily commute free of charge—the Department of Transportation, in cooperation with the Philippine Red Cross, will be offering complimentary MRT rides today, June 14, at the MRT-3 Boni Station. The catch? The free rides will only be given to blood donors, in celebration of World Blood Donor Day.

All blood donors can claim their free MRT rides until 9 p.m. today. All you have to do is present your Donor's Card to the security personnel at the entrance of Boni Station, where you will also be issued a single-journey ticket. Who knew that doing your part to save lives has its perks?
