(SPOT.ph) The holiday season is a great time to have a sweet tooth. While everyone has, understandably, set their eyes on the sugar rush-inducing holiday drinks, your favorite coffee chains have Christmasy desserts up for grabs, too. They pair perfectly with your next cup of coffee or tea!
Starbucks
We know you’re paying more attention to the holiday drinks and planners, but Starbucks’ decadent lineup is well worth your attention, too. With the classic pairing of strawberries and chocolate at its forefront, you can’t go wrong with the Belgian Chocolate Strawberry Cake (P140/slice, P1,250/whole), with milk chocolate and strawberry cream alternatingly sandwiched between chocolate sponge cake, then finished off with chocolate frosting. Chocoholics will have a field day with the 17 Belgian chocolate-filled crepe layers of the Chocolate Crepe Cake (P140/slice, P1,250/whole). And with the Truffle Brownie Cheesecake (P150/slice, P1,650/whole) fusing cheesecake with chocolate truffle and brownies, you can have more than one dessert for your next cheat day.

Costa Coffee
British coffee chain Costa Coffee is spoiling your sweet tooth this Christmas. The Hazelnut Roche Cake (P75/slice, P1,225/whole) has alternating layers of chocolate and vanilla cake frosted with milk chocolate and covered in crushed hazelnuts, perfect for fans of that sweet-and-nutty flavor combo. Costa Coffee also reinvents the classic crème brulee with their Crème Brulee cake (P165/slice, P1,155/whole), a milky vanilla cake topped with burnt sugar. For something lighter, Costa Coffee also has the Matcha Tart (P135/slice, P945/whole) and Strawberry Tart (P170/slice, P1,190/whole).

Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf
What else would go best with CBTL's berry-flavored holiday drinks than a luscious strawberry cake? The Strawberry Shortcake (P145/slice, P1,450/whole) has sweet strawberries-and-cream filling sandwiched between layers of luscious vanilla shortcake, then covered in strawberry whipped cream. Not only do you get the fruity goodness of strawberry in each forkful, the whole cake is in a picture-perfect shade of pink, too!
The Strawberry Shortcake is available in Metro Manila only. See a list of Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf branches.
