(SPOT.ph) If you've been looking forward to feasting on Asian street food once again, we have some bad news for you: World Street Food Congress 2018 is no longer happening. The official World Street Food Congress 2018 Facebook page keeps things vague on their announcement post, citing "circumstances beyond our control," as to why they're cancelling the highly anticipated event this year.
World Street Food Congress, which brings together hawkers from all over Asia and other parts of the world to showcase their country's signature street food and other hawker-style fare, is not the first food event to get the axe this year. On April 1, Madrid Fusion Manila also announced that they will no longer push through this year, though their contract was expected to end in 2019. World Street Food Congress announced however that the fest will resume in 2019 so watch for that!
