(SPOT.ph) Fans freaked out when it was announced in September 2017 that Riverdale (and Suite Life of Zack and Cody) star Cole Sprouse is the latest international celebrity endorser for Bench. There was only one question on everyone's minds: When is he coming here?!
Bench finally answered the question when they announced that he'll be having two fun meets (yes, it's really called "fun" meet) with his fans today, April 20 at the Mega Fashion Hall at 3 p.m. and at the Glorietta Activity Center at 5 p.m.
But before all the excitement took place, SPOT.ph got to catch up with him as he answered a few questions at a press conference along with other media outlets.
He talks about going around Manila like a local, even experiencing riding a jeepney. “It looked like something I needed to do,” he says. But he didn’t go to the usual tourist spots you’d expect. “I tried to see all of the city,” he says. So, he went around Poblacion and Divisoria—in just a white tank top, no less. “Everyone commented on the tank top. Is this not normal attire?” he jokes.
But it was more than just the sights—he enjoyed the food, too! “It’s been a food tour for me. I’ve just been trying to see as much as possible. I just gluttonized myself for half an hour, went around, gluttonized myself again,” he jokes. “It’s just been a process of me [eating] a bunch of food all day.”
While he's staying in Manila this time around, he says he’s also interested in exploring Siquijor. “[Ben Chan] and I were talking about this spritiual and mythical island,” he says. “That’s the one I would really love to visit.
As for Riverdale? He says the upcoming third season will be intense for Jughead. “[The end of season two] leaves Jughead in a super precarious spot. He’s put himself on a very public platform in the earlier part of the season. He’s made a lot of enemies [and] it’s just enemies after enemies. So [Season 3] will pick up right after that.
