The father of rapper Nicki Minaj died after he was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Long Island, New York on Friday, February 12, a representative of the “Super Bass” singer confirmed to People Sunday, February 14.
According to a report, the Nassau County Police Department said that Robert Maraj, 64, was hit by a car in Mineola at around 6 pm local time. The driver quickly fled the scene and Maraj was taken to the hospital where he died on Saturday.
The incident is still under investigation.
Minaj, who welcomed a son with husband Kenneth Petty last year has yet to issue a statement. – Rappler.com
