(SPOT.ph) There's no need to worry if you missed out on some films during the 2018 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino's run from August 15 to 21. Aside from screenings of select films in microcinemas in the Metro, another entry from the film festival is making its way back to the big screen. Director Chito Roño's Signal Rock, which won Critic's Choice at the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP), will be screening at select SM cinemas from August 24 to 30.
The select SM cinemas include Cinema 12 at SM Fairview, Cinema 1 at SM Manila, Cinema 5 at SM Megamall, Cinema 7 at SM North EDSA, Cinema 5 at SM Southmall, and Cinema 10 at SM Sta. Mesa. The best part is, tickets are only at P150.
The family drama, written by Rody Vera, is about Intoy (Christian Bables), who is trying to help his sister win a custody battle in Finland all the way from the Philippines. But the problem is, there's no phone signal in his small town. He has to go out to the rocks near the shore to be able to talk to her. The film earned Bables the award for Special Jury for Outstanding Acting. Other members of the cast include Elora Españo, Mon Confiado, and Francis Magundayao.
