(SPOT.ph) This year's Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival may be over (it happened from August 3 to 12 in select Ayala Malls Cinemas and CCP theaters), but that doesn't mean you can no longer have your dose of quality Pinoy movies. So movie buffs, it would be best to mark your calendars because Ateneo de Manila University's Areté will be screening works from previous years of Cinemalaya from September 12 to October 27.
Among the films that they'll be screening include Jade Castro's Endo from 2007 and Sheron R. Dayoc's Halaw from 2010. There will also be screenings of multiple 2017 entries like Joseph Laban's Baconaua, Zig Madamba Dulay's Bagahe, Thop Nazareno's Kiko Boksingero, and Sonny Calvento's Nabubulok.
And if you missed out on some of this year's entries, Iar Lionel Benjamin Arondaing's Musmos na Sumibol sa Gubat ng Digma and Louie Ignacio's School Service will also be shown. Plus, they'll also be showing the Best Film winners from recent years. They include 2016's Pamilya Ordinaryo directed by Eduardo Roy Jr., 2017's Respeto directed by Treb Monteras II, and 2018's Kung Paano Hinihintay ang Dapithapon directed by Carlo Catu.
The ticket prices and screening schedule are yet to be announced, so it's best to stay alert for more announcements.
