(SPOT.ph) There's been much talk about the Clark International Airport as a viable alternative to Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The former is touted by some as a solution to ease the foot traffic and help decongest Metro Manila's terminal. Now, Clark is stepping up to these high expectations thanks to a new route to one of the country’s hottest tourism destinations—Philippine Airlines has just launched new daily flights from Clark International Airport to Siargao. The new flight was inaugurated on July 1.
Renowned for its beautiful white-sand beaches and barrelling waves dubbed as “Cloud 9,” Siargao has cemented itself as a paradise for both surfers and non-surfers alike. And thanks to this new route, it will now be easier for more tourists to visit the beach destination. Additionally, Philippine Airlines will also be launching three new domestic flights from Clark International Airport to the newly-opened San Vicente Airport in Palawan; to Cauayan, Isabela; and San Jose, Mindoro.
