(SPOT.ph) It's been six years since Gossip Girl wrapped up—remember its controversial finale? (Seriously, no one expected it to be Dan.) It's also been a while since you first got super-paranoid because of Amy Dunne's (Rosamund Pike) crazy AF revenge plan in Gone Girl. (We don't blame you if you still get nightmares about it.)
Still, it's easy to say that fans loved seeing the two on the small and the big screen, respectively. While you can always rewatch a few episodes or have a movie marathon, you can also start on a new show while you're at it. One of the latest TV shows that'll stream on Netflix soon is You—which is basically a Gone Girl and Gossip Girl crossover you never knew you needed. And if you don't believe it, you just have to look at the star of the show: Penn Badgley (a.k.a. Gossip Girl) himself. There's even a bit of Pretty Little Liars in there too, because Shay Mitchell will also be on the show.
You stars Badgley as Joe Goldberg, a bookstore manager from New York who gets obsessed with Beck (Elizabeth Lail) and uses all kinds of technology to win her over. Willing to do whatever it takes—even murder—Joe's able to turn himself from stalker to boyfriend, but without causing suspicion. Beck's best friend Peach (Mitchell) is starting to pick up on some clues.
The show, based on a book of the same name by Caroline Kepnes, will be helmed by Greg Berlanti, who's behind The CW's Arrowverse shows. He also serves as the executive producer of Riverdale and he also directed Love, Simon. You is set to premiere in the U.S. on Lifetime on September 9, but there's no word yet on when it's set to stream on Netflix. That just means you can pick up the book for some quick reading or you can binge-watch Gossip Girl or Gone Girl (or even Pretty Little Liars!) in the meantime.
