(SPOT.ph) There's a lot to love about Japan. You've got the delicious food, the cool stores, the amazing films, and of course, the adorable characters. You'll just about find them everywhere—whether as snacks or keychains. But this time, you'll actually be able to see one of them come to life in Rilakkuma and Kaoru, Netflix's latest stop-motion animated series set to come out in 2019.
Netflix is working on the series with Dwarf, one of Japan's leading animation studios. The show revolves around the well-beloved character Rilakkuma, a fuzzy brown bear with a zipper on its back who just likes to laze around. (You may or may not also know him as that cute sticker you always use on Facebook.)
The mysterious bear moves in with a young woman named Kaoru. But Rilakkuma isn't her only roommate. They both also live with a small white bear cub named Korilakkuma and Kaoru's pet bird, Kiiroitori. The show will follow the roommates' imaginative (not to mention adorable!) adventures together.
