(SPOT.ph) Years may have passed since milk tea first became trendy in the Metro, but the drink has become a staple alongside iced coffee and iced tea. It's hard to resist milk tea's earthy sweetness and creamy texture spiced up by boba or pudding, so we're not exactly surprised that Starbucks is putting their own twist to the tea-based beverage.
Milk Tea Panna Cotta Cream Frappuccino
The Milk Tea Panna Cotta Cream Frappuccino (P165/tall, P180/grande, P195/venti) has a blend of ice, milk, and black tea leaves for that familiar milk-tea taste, which then gets a luxurious upgrade via a generous layer of creamy panna cotta. It's then finished off with whipped cream and a dusting of black-tea powder.
Pistachio Bon Bon Cream Frappuccino
If you'd rather have your drink without any caffeine at all, Starbucks is also launching the Pistachio Bon Bon Cream Frappuccino (P165/tall, P180/grande, P195/venti). Taking inspiration from the chocolatey-crunch of a classic pistachio bonbon, this one has crushed pistachio nuts blended with chocolate sauce, then topped with whipped cream, more crushed pistachio, and waffle bits. Both drinks will be available starting June 5 until July 23.
