(SPOT.ph) If you live or work in Ortigas, you might have been late for an hour or two today—much to the dismay of your boss. Well, you can tell him or her it's because of the rerouting of traffic in Ortigas Center for the four-day, 51st annual meeting of governors of the Asian Development Bank in Mandaluyong City. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority expects traffic build-up in major roads surrounding the area starting today, May 3, until May 6.

Around 3,000 delegates from the 67 member economies of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) arrived in Manila as early as May 2, and are here to attend and discuss pressing issues regarding the Asian economy for the rest of the week.

Although there's no road closure, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) predicts heavy traffic in the Ortigas Business District, particularly in the following areas: Doña Julia Vargas Avenue, ADB Avenue, San Miguel Avenue, Guadix, Bank Drive, and St. Francis. To a lesser extent, EDSA passers-by are also affected as the yellow lanes are closed off for ADB delegates at the Ayala and Shaw underpasses. So plan your commute for the week accordingly!
