(SPOT.ph) When 1Bataan Integrated Transport started its services in December 2017, the usual four-hour commute by bus via North Luzon Expressway and Pampanga has been turned into a 50-minute ferry ride across Manila Bay. Capinpin Port in Orion became the jump-off point of what the province of Bataan has to offer. But on May 15, 1Bataan Integrated Transport is launching a direct route to Mariveles, which is about an hour away from Orion. It is popular for its white-sand beaches and the rugged coves and cliffs of Five Fingers.
The ferry travels from Esplanade Seaside Terminal in Pasay City (behind Mall of Asia and beside Vikings Luxury Buffet) to the FAB Town Terminal in Mariveles (beside the district hospital) and vice versa. Travel takes approximately an hour and 30 minutes. Schedule is Monday to Sunday, 11:30 a.m. from Bataan and 2 p.m. from Manila; while the fare is at P499 for online booking and P849 for walk-ins.
