(SPOT.ph) International Museum Day is much-awaited all over the world because not only can you enter museums for free, you also get to enjoy exclusive tours and activities. This year, the one-day event falls on a Friday—which can be a big disappointment especially if you have to report to work or school. Ayala Museum in Makati is having their big celebration on May 20, Sunday, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., so you can join in the fun! Registration for free admission starts at 11:30 a.m.

You can check out the museum's current exhibits—Erwin Wurm's One Minute Sculptures, where you can wear a bucket on your head and be part of a work of art; and Alwin Reamillo's Bayanihan Hopping Spirit House, an art installation inspired by the Philippine tradition of carrying an entire bahay kubo when its residents need to move to another town.

If you've never been to the Ayala Museum, this is your chance to see its permanent collections of indigenous Philippine textiles, gold artifacts and Chinese ceramics, and finely crafted ship models. It also houses the works of art of Fernando Zobel created in the 1960s.

You can also join workshops and activities for free! Veronica Cosio will be holding a class on creating Instax paper lanterns from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., to be followed by Alwin Reamillo, who will be talking about the Bayanihan Hopping Spirit House's journey from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Ayala Museum is at Makati Avenue corner De La Rosa Street, Greenbelt Park, Makati City. For more information, visit Ayala Museum's website.
