(SPOT.ph) Ukulele fans, rejoice! After two years of hiatus, the 4th Philippine Ukulele Festival finally makes a comeback on April 21 to 22 at the Eton Centris Walk in Quezon City from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

 

Organized by HappyMusic, Inc. and supported by Ukulele Underground Philippines, music lovers can expect two whole days of performances, workshops, raffle draws, and a bazaar.

 

Ukulele artists from all over the Philippines are expected to participate at the festival, including BennyBunnyBand, Navy Blve Pants, and Jegs Benedict. Other performers include Ukulele Philippines Ensemble, as well as Ukulele Fingerstylists Pao Gumba, Domands, Randy Gimenez, Leomar Requejo, Eduardo Enaje. Ukulele singers such as Selena Marie and Pristine Figueroa will also grace the stage.

 

According to Laurence Dacanay of Happy Music, organizer of the festival, they decided to stage the festival once again due to the growing popularity of ukulele in the Philippines. In fact, the latest Pasinaya Festival at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, over 200 ukulele artists have performed. Enthusiast groups have also started jamming and beginners’ tutorial sessions in public parks, schools, and picnic grounds.
