(SPOT.ph) In case you missed it, Zamboanga City Mayor Beng Climaco and other local officials got a hard dose of reality as the wooden footbridge they were standing on collapsed, dumping them into the murky waters. The group of officials, which included Zamboanga City Representative Celso Lobregat and Negros Occidental Representative Albee Benitez, were there to observe the status of a housing project by the National Housing Authority. (Talk about irony, huh?)
Thankfully, aside from a few scrapes and scratches (and a bit of crab on the Mayor's hair), no one got seriously injured. But the incident proved too much to handle for Filipinos online, who wasted no time creating the funniest, most LOL-worthy mash-ups of memes and videos in response.
