(SPOT.ph) You can't deny that Lacoste has become a household name no matter where you are in the world. The French clothing brand gave birth to the iconic crocodile logo in 1933 and in 2018, Lacoste is ready to swap the most popular reptile in the fashion industry with a handful of endangered species.
The limited-edition Save Our Species Collection is a three-year partnership between Lacoste and the International Union for Conservation of Nature to put the spotlight on the animals that need your attention the most. They chose 10 endangered species and put each of them on a classic white Lacoste polo shirt. And puns aside, the shirts are as limited as the animal on them!
From top to bottom: the Anageda Ground Iguana (450 specimens left), the Sumatran Tiger (350 specimens left), the Saola (250 specimens left), the California Condor (231 specimens left), the Cao-vit Gibbon (150 specimens left), the Kakapo (157 specimens left), the Javan Rhino (67 specimens left), the Northern Sportive Lemur (50 specimens left), the Burmese Turtle (40 specimens left), the Vaquita (30 specimens left).
Each shirt is available for U.S. $140 (roughly P7,280) exclusively online. All proceeds from sales will go toward the preservation of its species. The shirts are selling out very quickly, but we're crossing our fingers for more releases featuring other endangered species in the future!
