(SPOT.ph) Not all people have a limitless number of vacation leaves. Sometimes, all that's left on your calendar are a couple of long weekends to get out of town. We round up resorts that are just three hours or less from Manila so you don't have to worry about missing a day of work (or school).

Zambales is well-known for its long coastline with pristine coves, amazing surf spots, and a number of beach resorts. One of those is Casa Angelina, which opened to the public in May 2017, located in an under-the-radar beach strip in the province. The air-conditioned cottages are made of local hardwood and nipa roof and painted with murals that complete the tropical vibe. The resort only has four rooms but each can accommodate up to six people, so better book ASAP.

Just a couple of hours away from the Metro, Anya Resort in Tagaytay is ideal for a much-needed retreat and pampering. You get to have your own Lifestyle Assistant, who's in charge of fixing your check-in and check-out schedule, booking your day tours around the scenic hills of the city, and arranging your appointment at the in-house Niyama Spa. Their infinity pool flows into another infinity pool—how can anyone resist?

El Dionisio Paraiso White Beach Resort and Camping Site offers an island experience with tents that have mattresses and pillows, shared bathrooms, and full-board meals. You can also opt to cook on your own using the public grill.

LeBlanc Hotel and Resort

3 Taktak Road, Antipolo City, Rizal

Contact: 0917-504-7086

www.leblanc.com.ph

Rates start at P4,000

LeBlanc Hotel and Resort is less than an hour away from the eastern side of Metro Manila, making it a good place to laze around without having to drive too far. It may have been around since 2012, but the place kept things fresh when it opened a new building in September 2017 to accommodate more guests. Activities include a game of basketball or billiards, a swim in the pool, or just some quiet time by the poolside chairs. The white-washed walls also add to the relaxing ambience.

Soler Sea Seaside Resort

Carenahan, Balayan, Batangas

Contact: 0995-782-4908

E-mail: solerseabalayan@gmail.com

Rates start at P5,500

Soler Sea Seaside Resort, which opened in January, features rooms that can accommodate up to 12 people (P8,000 to P8,500/night)—making it the perfect weekend getaway with the whole gang. It was designed by Da Roza Interior Design and Furnishing (yes, of '90s actor Robin Da Roza) with elegant, old-wood furnishings and decor. The infinity pool has an amazing view of Balayan Beach, one of the lesser-known beaches in Batangas.

Vista de Puente Beach Resort

Sitio Bayanan, Ilijan, Batangas City

Contact: 0915-289-2907

E-mail: vistadepuente@yahoo.com

https://ift.tt/2G7uRo2

Rates start at P2,500

Selfie and OOTD addicts will have a great time at Vista de Puente Beach Resort because of the infinity pools' boardwalk—it looks like it stretches all the way to the sea. It's the perfect spot to strike a pose especially during golden hour. You have the option to stay only for a day and pay the P150 entrance fee, or spend the night and book a room for as low as P2,500.

The Oriental Bataan

Freeport Area of Bataan Compound, Malaya, Mariveles, Bataan

Contact: 0927-886-8887

E-mail: bataan-roomsreservation@theorientalhotels.com

bataan.theorientalhotels.com

Rates start at P3,200

With the launch of a ferry service from the Esplanade Seaside Terminal at Mall of Asia to the Port of Capinpin, the three- to four-hour travel to Bataan has been cut down to less than a couple of hours. This makes it easier to check out the famous Five Fingers Cove in Mariveles. One of the jump-off points to the cove-to-cove adventure is The Oriental Bataan, a full-service hotel that features an indoor pool, an outdoor spa, and a lounge that has a great view of the surrounding hills.

The Cabin Resorts

ELCOR Compound, Pinagbarilan, Baliuag, Bulacan

E-mail: thecabinresorts@gmail.com

https://ift.tt/2G21eJb

Rates start at P6,500

The Cabin Resorts, which opened in January 2017, may remind you of '90s favorites Dawson's Creek or Tabing Ilog—just because it is located by a manmade lake in Baliuag, Bulacan. The cabin can accommodate a maximum of 10 people while the “White House” can fit up to 15 guests. You also get to enjoy unlimited use of the KTV. Sold!

Noni's Resort

Rates start at P4,000

Wake up to a spectacular view of Mt. Maculot and Taal Lake when you check in at Noni's Resort's newest addition to its property—Talisay Cabins. Each air-conditioned unit has one queen-sized bed and a double bed, a private bathroom, a solo fire pit, and a patio with dining room. You also get to have your own pool by the veranda. Glamping at Talisay Cabins is at P10,000 for four people, but the resort also has standard rooms with prices that range from P4,000 to P18,000.

Liwalize It Surf Camp

Liwliwa, San Felipe, Zambales

E-mail: 0977-009-0079

Contact: liwalizeit@gmail.com

https://ift.tt/2pCGSLs

Rates start at P1,500

Liwalize It Surf Camp's name was derived from the popular hashtag and expression #liwalized, which encapsulates the amazing experience of spending a day in Liwliwa. It was made popular by frequent surfers in the beach strip, like Paolo Manuel Soler, who opened the resort in November 2017. The traditional kubos, two-storey Balinese-inspired nipa hut, and campsite match the chill vibe of this laid-back surf spot.
