(SPOT.ph) Not sure where to take your nieces and nephews next time you take on babysitting duties? PLAY at Okada Manila is an indoor facility that’s meant to give kids and kids at heart hours of fun. Short for “Purposeful Learning and Activities for the Young,” PLAY is for guests one to 16 years old, and is located at the Coral Wing of Okada Manila. It officially opens on February 10, so set that PLAY-date!

Children have five hours of playtime, with additional fees for extended hours. Children below 75 centimeters come in for free, as long as they’re with one paying guest. Children below eight years old need a guardian with them at all times inside PLAY, with one child per guardian.

Kids have eight “neighborhoods” to choose from:

Wizard’s Den

Fight mythical creatures in this virtual reality game—very fun for wannabe wizards and witches!

Mini Steps & Mini Me

Best for babies and toddlers, the Mini Steps have an interactive floor with 10 different features, while the Mini Me is a playground filled with seesaws, cubes, a ball pit, and slides. All areas are fully padded to make it safe for your kids to explore!

Little Town

Toddlers get to pretend to go to the grocery, bank, school, and play house—everything that the grownups do!

Little Park

Toddlers will love the two-level playground and maze made especially for them! There’s also a climbing wall, zip line, giant tic-tac-toe, and barrel roll, to name a few.

Sports Zone

Have a budding athlete? Let them get into the game in the artificial grass court, perfect for throwing a few hoops or an impromptu football game.

Janguru

Best for kids eight and above (must be over 110 centimeters), the Jangaru is a multi-level playground and maze, with three slides (wave slides, a drop slide, and a turbo slide), obstacle courses, wave bridges, a gaming floor, and more. Wear a long-sleeved top if you’d want to head down the slide!

The Stage

Let your kids go into acting mode here—they can sing, dance, act, or all of the above!

My Party Place

PLAY can be rented as a venue for birthday parties or other celebrations. With the exception of the Wizard’s Den, kids can stay in each neighborhood for as long as they like, and there’s no need to fall in line!

PLAY also has pocket activities and coach-led programs, to be held in the tree huts inside Janguru. Programs are led by physical therapists called “Kids’ Coaches” in the field. They can choose from: Colors and Creations, perfect for budding artists; YTT (a.k.a. Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow), which are one-on-one tutorial sessions for math, science, and reading subjects, and occupational therapy needs like speech therapy and physical therapy; Music & Movement, which is a program for performance arts; and Life Skills, where kids are taught about housekeeping, creative writing, personal nutrition, and many more.

PLAY is all-inclusive, with most of the Kids’ Coaches trained to teach children with special needs. Attendants are found in all neighborhoods, making sure that everyone is playing well and staying safe!

For parents, there are lockers, shoe cubbies, and stroller parking available at the entrance.

Fee for five hours is at P750 with 15% off for members of Okada Manila’s Reward Circle. Guardians, aged 18 and above, may come in for P300 per head. If you’re looking to bring your children to PLAY more often, inquire about their Play Pass—Moon play pass for six months, Sun play pass for 12 months, and Star Family pass for three children.

PLAY is at UG/F Coral Wing, Okada Manila, New Seaside Drive, Parañaque City. Operating hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 12 midnight from Friday to Saturday. For more information, visit Okada Manila’s website.
