(SPOT.ph) Have you always wanted to ride a double-decker bus or make a call from a red telephone box? Is afternoon tea your favorite part of the day? Do you swoon when British men talk? The Great British Festival might just be up your alley, and a kick-off event is happening on February 23, from 12:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Glorietta 2 in Makati City. Admission is free.
"In this year’s festival, our goal is to showcase the very best of what Great Britain as a whole nation has to offer," says Daniel Pruce, British Ambassador to the Philippines. "We are gathering a broad spectrum of British companies that represent not only world-class British culture and creativity but also the core values of the nation."
Fun activities include exhibits, raffles, trivia challenges, British film screenings, book reading for children, and a whisky pavilion for your inner Brit. There's also the much-awaited Rockaoke Contest where participants have the chance to win two Etihad Airways tickets to London. Not bad, right? Not bad at all. (*cue British accent*)
