(SPOT.ph) The wave of Japanese ramen shops opening in the Metro may have slowed down but it's far from over. Soon to settle on our shores is Hiroshima-based Ramen Bari Uma, opening its first branch Ramen Bari Uma Jr. at SM San Lazaro on December 10, followed by a full-scale Ramen Bari Uma branch at Serendra in early 2018.
Ajitama-Uma
Gyoza
Ramen Bari Uma is known for their tonkotsu shoyu base, which they proclaim is Japan's "strongest tonkotsu broth" (strongest usually meaning most flavorful in Japanese). Cooked from a mix of chicken and pork bones for over six hours, this rich soup serves as the base for most of their bestselling bowls like the Ajitama-Uma, with thick slices of chasu and egg. You can pair your ramen with their signature sides like Gyoza and Karaage, though their flavorful soup is sure to satisfy all on its own.
Ramen Bari Uma Jr. will open at 3/F SM City San Lazaro, Sta. Cruz, Manila.
